Hello my friends!!
For this week’s Transparent Tuesday I want to bring your attention to my podcast!
If you don’t know about it yet, it’s called This Is (Not) About Your Body, and it’s a very casually formatted podcast in which I explore and unpack topics of body neutrality and body liberation!
I release a new episode every Monday, and you can find it anywhere you listen to podcasts: spotify, itunes, etc.
A note for anyone sensitive to audio quality: the first fifteen or so episodes I recorded with just my phone and ear buds, but I recently got a fancy new podcast microphone and it sounds super warm and clear and beautiful now. Woohoo!
If you’re already listening and subscribed, fabulous, but if not I wanted to give you a little run-down of the most recent couple of episodes, to show you a bit of what you can expect:
Episode #16: How You Dress it Up: A Halloween Special Discussing how certain costume conventions (aka: dressing up to look gross/ugly) interact with body oppression in ways you’ve probably never thought about!
Episode #17: They Love me | They Love Me Not Exploring how to actually feel loved (which is completely different than knowing you are loved) especially when dealing with mood swings, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues.
Episode #18: In The Mood Considering how to measure the security of a partnership without it being based on how much sex you’re having (or anything else the patriarchy taught us to measure that kind of stuff by).
Episode #19: Gender on My Mind Unpacking the importance of recognizing and moving away from gendered language, for a healthier and happier world.
